Pam35
My husband has been told that he has MB - IPMN but no signs of cancer, which of course we are very relieved about. He has been advised to have a total pancreatectomy. Is this normal procedure when there is no sign of cancer? What are the chances that this is a misdiagnosis? Is it possible to monitor changes in the pancreas on a yearly basis ? Or is this too risky? If he does not have the operation what are the chances that it will become cancerous? Is it necessary to have his gallbladder and spleen removed?Reading this forum has made me realize that we are in a very fortunate position.Grateful for any advise
