The Benefits of Hydrogen Peroxide ...Another con?

Someone sent me an article regarding Hydrogen Peroxide calling it "The Cure".

It's claimed that .....

Quote from the web page www.alkalizeforhealth.net: The brighter red the color of your blood, the more oxygen it carries. The darker its color, the less oxygen it carries.

Arterial blood is generally a brighter red because it has recently passed through the lungs. Venous blood is generally a darker red because it has passed through the capillaries where the oxygen is transferred from the blood to the tissues.

"All normal cells have an absolute requirement for oxygen, but cancer cells can live without oxygen - a rule without exception." - Dr. Otto Warburg, quoted in Philpott, page 74.

Deprive a cell 60% of its oxygen and it will turn cancerous. - McCabe, page 192. Deprive a cell 35% of its oxygen for 48 hours and it may become cancerous. - Dr. Otto Warburg. Read Dr. Warburg's papers in the Library: Lecture 1, Lecture 2.

When the oxygen saturation of blood falls, conditions become ripe for the creation of cancer. Oxygen is removed from the arterial blood as it passes through the capillary system. If arterial blood is deficient in oxygen or if the blood flow is restricted by blocked arteries, then tissues oxygenated by the latter stages of the capillary system may be so deprived of oxygen as to become cancerous. Damage to the arteries also helps cancer spread throughout the body. (See The Terrible Two: Cancer and Circulation).

The oxygen transport system from the lungs to the cells can be interrupted at numerous points, and so there are many opportunities to deny oxygen to cells. Also, there are many ways that cells and their mitochondria can be directly damaged, thereby reducing the cells' ability to utilize the oxygen that is available.....

The company - from the USA - are claiming their Hydrogen Peroxide 15 drops a day in fruit juice at $18 a bottle, will cure cancer....oh and arthritis :|

What are we to beleieve?

Oh Linda if only it were true!! I was diagnosed in August 2011 and yes will try anything but do find these statements ridiculous. I'm sure if a cure was that simple we wouldn't have any trouble curing any type of cancer. Would be interesting to hear fom genuine people who have taken it.

$18 per bottle will last how long?

Anyway, how are you? I've been following your posts and couldn't believe the time you had to wait before seeing someone, hope your now getting the advice, treatment etc you need.

Ermmmmmmm, I agree that cells need oxygen - but isn't that what we breathe for? If we want more oxygen in our blood wouldn't a few deep breaths (for free!) do the same thing?

My money is on it being bunkum - but then what do I know???

What is the evidence - peer reviewed of course!

PCUK Nurse Jeni

Hi Linda,

As the others have said, I would be wary of trying things which have not been proved with evidence etc...There are several things out there on the internet, and alot of people will be willing to try anything as they are vulnerable, and also, really wanting something to work well.

I usually say if these type of things were so good, why are we not using them and seeing the wonderful things they are doing? It is still good to get others opinions on things like this though, so not a problem in sharing it. This is how we learn more about things.

If I am able, I might have a further look into the science behind this, but for now, be wise.

Kind regards,

Jeni.

Hi Sue,

I will be having another CT scan next Tuesday, which the doctor / specialist will be calling day one - for him, then hopefully soon after I will be starting Chemo; Cisplatin and Gemcitabine.

I'm keeping my fingers cross the CT scan shows that the tumour is still contained within the pancreas and then my fingers will be crossed for an awful long time when I start Chemo.

Wishing you well Sue. Take Care xx
