Support Team
We have two new opportunities to get involved with our work and help us improve the experience of people with pancreatic cancer.

1️⃣ Help shape our services
We want our support services to reach as many people as possible, so that nobody feels they're facing pancreatic cancer alone. The pandemic has seen an increase in the number of people getting support online, and as we look to the future we're thinking about the role online services might play in helping us make a bigger difference to more people.

If you're based in the UK and can spare a few hours to talk to us about your experiences, we'd love to hear from you.

We'll be running discussion groups on Zoom to understand more about the support you need/needed, and how you'd like to access it. We can also arrange to speak over the phone if you'd prefer. Your insight will really help us make sure we're there for people affected by pancreatic cancer when, and how, they need us to be.

- Who? UK-based people with pancreatic cancer; family members/friends/carers of someone with pancreatic cancer
- What? A discussion group run on Zoom
- Time commitment: One-off - a couple of hours in the next month
If you have any questions, please email services@pancreaticcancer.org.uk

2️⃣ Help design an Optimal Care Pathway for pancreatic cancer
This is a part-time volunteering role that will give you the opportunity to partner with clinical experts from all levels of the NHS across the UK, and help them understand the challenges in the diagnosis, support, treatment and care of pancreatic cancer.

We will work together to create a step-by-step guide detailing best practice, so that everyone affected by the disease has access to the best health service, wherever they live in the UK.

We're looking for four people who have received, or have looked after someone with, a recent pancreatic cancer diagnosis (from 2018 onwards) to join the Steering Committee.

- Who? UK-based people who have received a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer from 2018 onwards; family members/friends/carers of somebody diagnosed from 2018.
- What? Attending meetings, events and reviewing papers
- Time commitment: Ongoing - around two hours per month between September 2021 and March 2023
If you have any questions, please email policy@pancreaticcancer.org.uk

There's still time to get involved and help shape our services.

We're particularly keen to hear from people who have had a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer themselves, and people who are currently supporting a loved one with pancreatic cancer.

If you're based in the UK and can spare a couple of hours in the next month to speak to us about your experiences, please let us know here: www.pancreaticcancer.org.uk/get-involved/make-a-difference/help-shape-our-services/sign-up

Thank you.
