RLF
Hi everyone. As we all know abraxane has been taken off the nhs in England and there is a petition to get it back on. Well Carl has been interviewed and it will be shown at 7pm on channel 4 tonight. He's nervous he's made an idiot of himself but hopefully they got something useful lolJust thought I'd let you know so you could catch it if you're interestedRobX

MSH
http://blogs.channel4.com/victoria-macdonald-on-health-and-social-care/astonishing-omission-nhs-spends-1-billion-cancer-drugs-checking-working/3121Rather a negative report. It's difficult to see just how the benefits could be assessed outside the structure of a properly conducted trial, and it's hard to see how that could be done for this type of treatment. RLF
I agree with Mark, the overall piece wasn't what we were expecting. It actually felt like they were saying the NHS was wasting money on drugs that are not proven to help. I have mixed feelings about it, Carl himself came across very well which he was relieved about but I was disappointed about the overall message it seemed to give.Ah well, you win some you lose some.
