Redemption penalty for paying mortgage off

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone had been in a position whereby they paid off their mortgage following their diagnosis and wether or not you had to pay the redemption charge for paying the mortgage early or did they waive it given the circumstances. I was just hoping to get an idea of if it is possible before we phone mortgage company.
