Hi Sue,

I am sure they would not offer the operation unless they thought your Mum had a good chance at pulling through, but as you say its up to her.

Thinking of you and sending big cyber (((hugs))) to you all.

Just had a call from my stepfather to say he went in to see her and they have taken her to surgery! She said to him, "hope I see you later" . I am actually beside myself. I haven't spoken to her today she didn't ring or text me and I was going in at 6p.m! Please let her get through this! Sue x

You can't help but admire your Mum's bravery. She is a true hero. She so wants to be at the wedding, and my god does she deserve to be. She's a wonderful lady. I'm proud of her, so your pride must be immense.

Everything crossed for this operation.

I am happy to say Mum made it through the operation! She went at 3.30 and wasn't back on the ward until 1130p.m! It was a long day to say the least and no one rang us so I slept awful! She had low blood pressure so was in recovery for quite a while! Finally saw her this afternoon and this evening and she was very sore and tired but chatty. She has been told the operation has gone well. Tomorrow or Thursday they are going to inject a dye to check it out!
She is the bravest woman I know as it was so traumatic for her yesterday. Firstly she was taken down to have PIC line removed and another one put in which took 3 hours as her veins are so small. She was then told she might not make it through the anaesthetic how awful! She had a general and epidural!
When I saw her today she said she didn't know if she would be here and I told her I knew she would as she hadn't text or rang me so she couldn't go anywhere.
I know we still have a long way to go and she is still vulnerable but she made it through!
I am exhausted but I can't complain!
Thankyou for all your support it means a lot.
Love to everyone.

Sorry pleased to read this Sue.

Last few hours I were starting to worry. Been checking to hear something.

Your Mum is amazing, and tell her that we all think she is.

I imagine you are absolutely shattered with emotional stress.

Quick update Mum allowed soup and ice cream today! She is having dye injected tomorrow to check the operation has worked. Her blood pressure is very low and she is tired but that's not surprising. She isn't out of the woods yet with regards to the op but all I can say is she is amazing! The hospital have also been amazing on this occasion!
