Metal stents superior to Plastic?

Heres a new piece of work which seems to confirm that Metal Stents are Superior to Plastic for PC patients in some circumstances.

When first diagnosed my husband had a plastic stent placed in his bile duct, six weeks later it had to be replaced with another because it had got blocked and caused an infection, at which time he had to miss chemo.A few weeks after that it got blocked again,this time a metal stent was put in and remained stable till he died.
