Support Team Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 Cancer cachexia is a symptom that affects people with a cancer diagnosis including people with pancreatic cancer. Cancer cachexia is known as a ‘wasting syndrome’ and causes loss of appetite, loss of weight, weakness and fatigue among other symptoms. Loss of fat and muscle may cause other symptoms for people. Cancer cachexia is not commonly seen in early stages of diagnosis - it is more common in advanced cancer disease. We have been made aware of a Cancer Cachexia Network that is available for any interested people. It's a private Facebook group and you can join it here: www.facebook.com/groups/cancercachexia.
Celeste Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 Thanks for posting this: cachexia was a highly distressing symptom that my husband had and not enough people know or talk about it.
