I’m going through the process of diagnosis. I diverticulitis and l have been having left sided pain which spreads to my back. I also get a really weird feeling under my left ribs, night sweets and lost loads of weight.  My consultant sent me for an endoscopy as l had very bad dyspepsia including constant burping, she thought perhaps l had a hiatus hernia.  The endoscopy came back normal.  I’m still getting stomach and back pain as well as night sweats.  My stool is very bulky and sticky. I’m certain it’s pancreatic cancer as l feel so unwell. I have found a swollen hard lump in my belly area which l thought might be a lymph node.  I’m really scared. I do have liver disease not alcohol related it’s my immune system attacking my liver.  I’m waiting to be contacted by the hospital for a Scan with dye it was ordered under the 2 week wait.

Hi Kingsnorth,

Thank you for sharing your situation here - the 'not knowing' sounds really stressful, and it's understandable to feel scared. Wishing you all the best for the scan, and I hope it gives you a clearer idea of what's behind your symptoms.

The specialist nurses on our Support Line are here for you if you have questions about pancreatic cancer or the process of getting diagnosed. You can call 0808 801 0707, or email nurse@pancreaticcancer.org.uk

Best wishes,
