Hi my husband who is 40 fell ill in june this year loosing weight.stomach pains etc his gp referred him to a bowel specialist and after several cameras and a ct scan they found a tumour on his tail end of pancreas he was admitted to hospital on 10th sept and has had his tumour removed and is now recovering at home se are now waiting for the results of his tumour we are praying for good results its been a very emotional and worrying few months but all health workers have acted with speed and compassion I can only keep thinking how lucky he is to have had this tumour early as this is not always the case with a lot of patients I cant even imagine how things could have been a year down the line I also want to say how great the pancreatic society are I get regular emails asking how we both are and to know were not on our own

Sorry to hear of your husband's diagnosis but good news indeed it was found early and he was able to have surgery.

I wish him a good and speedy recovery. Hope everything keeps going in a positive vein for you.

Hi Alison, glad you started your own thread, and that you are getting the support you need at the moment, its awful isn't it. Simon sounds as though he has had good prompt treatment, which certainly doesn't always happen. I hope he continues to improve and that you get good news, please let us know how he is. take care sandrax

Hi Alison and welcome to the forum. Whilst it is not a good place to be, it is great to hear that things are going in the right direction for Simon. The system can work, give positive results and I wish you all well on your journey. We will all be watching Simon's progress eagerly.

Take care

Sounds like he's doing very well, hope you are doing well, seems that all the medics have acted fast, which isn't always the case. X

Hi Alison,

Welcome to the forum. I am sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis but good news that they found it early and he had a surgery. It is good to hear that some cases doctors act early because it is usually not the case unfortunately. My husband is 41 and he was going from doctors to doctors for 6 months. His tumours are unfortunately not operable.

I keep my fingers crossed for a good result and a quick recovery for your husband.

Please keep us informed.
