I met Erica in October last year at the Pancreatic Cancer UK Open Day. She was one of the friendliest, energetic people I've ever met. She was determined to beat this cruel illness and she gave us all hope. RIP Erica, I've only met you once, and I thought of you every single day - you'll be missed xx

I was also privileged to meet Erika and her husband Jerry last November. She was an inspiration and gave hope to me and fellow sufferers with her positive attitude. She fought her corner hard and it’s so sad she lost the battle much too soon. RIP Erika, love and strength to your friends and family at this horrible time xxxx

This is awful news

I have been looking out for her posts and I was wondering where she had got to. I took strength from her messages of good luck and passed every single one of them on without fail.

I never had the privilege of meeting her, but I saw her as a wonderful inspiration and a positive and determined role model for people determined to live with cancer for as long as possible.

A warrior indeed.

Thank you Erika.

This is such sad news.

Erika was a huge inspiration to me, my mum and I am sure everyone that she has met or who have read her posts.

Every single one of her messages were positive and full of hope. She had such good advice which my mum has followed in her fight against PC. I always shared her posts with my family to keep their spirits up.

Her PCUK campaign to Demand Faster Treatment is still going strong and hopefully there is a positive outcome in the very near future.

If you need some inspiration, please read through her posts.

RIP Erika xx

I was so sad to hear this terrible news. Erika helped me so much when my dad was ill. I’ve closely followed her posts and have always been struck by her positive attitude and her knowledge about treatment, drugs and diet etc.

I hoped so much that she would be that ‘exception to the PC statistics’.

Her legacy and work for PC sufferers will live on.

My thoughts and good wishes are with her family at this dreadful time.

So so sorry to hear this news. I was hoping and praying that Erika would have longer, as we all were. Rest In Peace brave lady. In Erika's memory I have again shared her petition and have asked my family and friends to sign and share again. xx
