Re: My Journey So Far
I have shed a tear for Mark and although we knew it was coming, I was still dreading the news. I have often read his first post and can smile that he said he would post in the coming weeks and months (little did he know it would be years) and if people could keep the thread 'uncluttered' etc. Well, 3 years later and more than 200 posts on his thread, all I can say to his family is 'Thank you for Mark - he was a wonderful support to us all'. Re: My Journey So Far
On behalf of the nursing team and all the staff at Pancreatic Cancer UK, we would like to offer our heartfelt condolences to you all at the sad passing of Mark.
Mark was an inspiration to many through his blog and forum posts. He eloquently and sensitively detailed the emotional journey of experiencing this illness and the treatments for it.
It is a blessing to hear that he was surrounded by his family at the end of his life and that the decline was relatively painless.
Thinking of you all at this sad and difficult time
Kind regards

I can only reiterate and agree with what other forum member's have already said. Mark was such an inspiration to us all. He was such a gentleman and always gave such great advice. This is truly a vile disease that destroys so many people and families. Sending my heartfelt wishes to Mark's family at this sad and difficult time. Annette xx
Re: My Journey So Far
Ive not been on in ages and this came as an utter surprise to me. Its amazing how, even though you've never met, you can build a connection to someone. I'm so sorry to hear that he's passed away, though I'm glad he didn't suffer as badly as some do.
Mark, thanks for all your posts, I'm going to miss them!
