carolelisabeth Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Thanks Cathy, think I've got it now. I suppose its just a waiting game at the moment. This is early days for us, we are being referred to a specialist in August, after something showed up on my husbands ultra scan, and I'm wondering if it could be something other than pancreatic cancer? He has had very little symptons, just a pain in his stomach about a week ago and in his side, which he put down to kidney stones (he has suffered with them before). He is 65 very fit and active. But i must admit I'm fearing the worst.
MSH Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 It could easily be something other than pancreatic cancer. An ultrasound scan isn't a good investigation for PC. I think your husband is heading for a CT scan and if that is suspicious an EUS to get a biopsy.
carolelisabeth Posted July 25, 2013 Author Posted July 25, 2013 Thank you so much for taking the time to reply - keeping my fingers crossed, any idea what else it could be?
carolelisabeth Posted August 16, 2013 Author Posted August 16, 2013 My husband had a Ct scan last friday, which I believe was discussed at a meeting on Wednesday, he has now been asked to have an MRI scan, is this because the CT scan has not conculsively shown cancer, or something else. Thanks
