Kidney function test

Hi guys this has been on my mind for a few days, as you know dads cancer hasn't spread from the pancreas and he starts radiopherapy soon, he's having a kidney functioning test before he starts, i was wondering is this the norm, I havnt really heard of having this procedure before the treatment before.

My husband had radiotherapy and they do keep an eye on all the surrounding organs and their functioning - this level of care I hope will reassure you, rather than worry you. I am sure the support team will advise if they think there is something specific you should know but do remember you can ring them if you have anything you need clarification on.

I do hope your Dad is doing OK and you too.
