Striving4dad Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 I hope so.I know of course the feeling of searching the internet and reading the forum to find something, anything that might help, as that is all you want to do help.We were pushing my dad around in a wheel chair, in 2011 and now he can walk with a stick. Looking back, we would never have believed he would be doing that now.....I really hope this gives other people hope. Keep strong x

DRAD3 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Hi Laura - wonderful news! As has already been said, you have always been such a pillar of strength to others and Brian's progress a source of great hope to everyone. I can't believe that it's been nearly 3 years since I first came onto the forum - seems like yesterday. We are all forever bound together by our shared experience of this disease and it warms my heart to hear positive stories - so important to everyone battling. Sending my love to you and Bri and to everyone. Although I don't post as I did, I think of everyone often and continually send lots of positive vibes. With loveDeb

laura Posted July 8, 2014 Author Posted July 8, 2014 hello everyone. its me again----- a blast from the past!!!Didnt realize how long since i posted, sorry xxBri is going on fine. no changes. we see oncologist every 6 mths and they are happy with how he's doing. Cannot believe that its 41/2 years since diagnosis!! and 4 yrs since i first posted. Our good wishes and love go to all of you on this journey, everyone is so differant, try to remain positive and focused we have found it helps. but pretty difficult at times. I did our Short Mat Bowls Tournament again this year, and due to massive support from 15 other clubs, and one of our younger [21] bowlers having his head shaved during the games, we were able to raise a total ammount of £815.69. so i am happy with thatto any of you that still visit this forum that were around when i was constantly on it,hi and i hope your lives are settled.wishing all of you strength to cope with this awful disease.love to everyonelaura xxxxxxxxxx .

rachelqt Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Hi Laura,Im so pleased that Bri is still doing so well! I very rarely come on here anymore but delighted I did today as I too often wonder how Bri is getting on! Well done on the fund raising, I have done a bit myself, I completed my first 10k in Dublin and also held a coffee morning so between the both I raised £1300! Felt great giving something back for all the help and support dad and my family received with our Hospice. My next 10k is coming up soon and funding is going towards PCUK. Good to hear from you, take care of yourself,Love Rachel x

Didge Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Laura, I was just thinking of you and Brian the other day. Although I never 'met' you in the sense that your active time was before I joined, your Brian still comes to mind when searching for hope in this dreadful cancer - and also for me that you are in my beloved Cornwall where I have farming relatives and have been visiting since I was a child. Take care both of you x
