PCUK Nurse Jeni Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 Hi there Nighean,Thanks for your post. Yes, olaparib has been used in the UK in the POLO clinical trial - which is now closed to recruitment. It was used in BRCA mutated pancreas cancers, and the results are due in February 2021. More here:https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02184195There is also another study called PIONEER, for locally advanced pancreatoc cancer which includes this drug - more details here:https://www.pancreaticcancer.org.uk/information-and-support/clinical-trials/find-a-clinical-trial/open-clinical-trials/pioneer/So, at the moment, its use in the UK is only via clinical trials. Hope this helps?Kind regards,Jeni. Jeni JonesPancreatic Cancer Specialist NurseSupport TeamPancreatic Cancer UKemail: nurse@pancreaticcancer.org.uksupport line: 0808 801 0707
