phillap
Please does anyone have any experience of a blocked (with sludge) metal stent becoming unblocked?
PCUK Nurse Jeni
Hi There,Thanks for your post. Yes, they can have a plastic stent inserted inside the metal stent which can help to unblock by draining the sludge. Also, antibiotics should help? Sometimes, a person needs cyclical antibiotics to clear the infection. Each unit will have its own regime for this - so, perhaps ask if there is a regime which works well?
