Hi Sue,

Pleased to hear that your daughter's wedding went well, sounds like Mum had an amazing time, and so nice to hear this lovely news on the forum. Also so lovely to think that all of your other 'forum family' have been priveledged to be able to share this with you.

I am sure the day must have passed by so quickly and great you have some wonderful memories to reflect on.

We also appreciate this would have been a very stressful time in your life maintaining 'equilibrium' with all you have going on at such a busy time, with weddings there is always a certain amount of stress, without all the medical issues. So best wishes and congratulations to you too for helping Mum to see this special day.

Our best wishes to the Bride and Groom and of course Mum too from the support team.

Hi Sue,

I haven't looked at the forum for a long time. I was diagnosed with breast cancer several months ago so have been busy being a tad selfish!

So pleased your mum made the wedding that is so lovely. fingers crossed for the ct scan.

Yes all good fingers crossed. At the mo they think no chemo or radio. I has a mastectomy and on an estrogen blocking tablet. Sadly if my mum had this she would still be alive. Take care and lots of love Xxxx

I am so pleased for you Cate that your treatment is working and it was caught early. I know what you mean about your Mum and that makes me so sad! I am on Facebook Cate if you are? Ask the moderators for my e mail and please keep in touch. I wish you lots of strength and a good recovery.

Hi Leila,

Mum should have gone for her appointment last Wednesday! She said she got confused with the days and forgot! She has re arranged for next Wednesday the 23rd! To be honest she doesn't appear to be any rush and doesn't even mention it! Maybe she doesn't want to know!

Hi Sue,

I don't think I really blame her, if she is going along ok, she won't want to be reminded bless her.

I got like that with Trevor, at the start I wanted to know everything, but then as things progressed I got to thinking "what you don't know won't hurt you" I knew what was happening anyway. Just to let you know I am thinking of you all, love sandrax xxx

Not having a great day today! Mum gets her scan results tomorrow and I suppose I don't want to hear it! Don't really know how I feel apart from scared for her! It has been a long 16 months with good days and some really bad ones but I take my hat off to her because she is amazing and has done so well. I pray tomorrow isn't too awful she just doesn't deserve any of this and I know none of you do either!

Love to everyone,

Best news ever the tumour is stable no change! I couldn't believe it I had worked myself up so much! She has fluid in the stomach which they are monitoring. She doesn't have to go back for 2 months! We saw a registrar and Mum wanted to show her consultant the wedding photos so he came out as well.

Because she has some quality of life and is going out she doesn't want chemo and the consultant said he was happy with everything.

I am calling her Wonder Woman from now on!

Love to everyone , stay positive and have faith.
