Poem for my mum

Hi

My mum's condition only became very serious on Wednesday this week. That afternoon, before I knew, I felt like writing a poem and so I sat and wrote the poem below. It prompted me to call my dad and see how things were and it was only then that I learned that mum's condition had significantly worsened.

Here is the poem I wrote:

Bright spirit shining

You’ve done what you came to do

The cycle of transformation

Beckons to you

Bright spirit shining

I see you as you are

I feel you in your body

As you reach out far

Bright spirit shining

Crossing the divide

Returning to spirit

On this ancient tide

Bright spirit shining

Clear and pure

Live without pain

Forever more

Bright spirit shining

Free of form

Fly through the universe

On this glorious morn

Bright spirit shining

Full of grace

There is only love

In this beautiful place

Bright spirit shining

Pure white light

Radiating goodness

In the dark of the night

Bright spirit shining

I still feel you near

For here is there

And there is here
