Didge,

I have asked the support team to pass on my email address to you, I'll donate to your race for life, and please let me have your address.

You're right about the different "hard time" it is so very hard, I am going on holiday in a couple of weeks with my eldest son and family, another first to face, just can't summon up much enthusiasm to be honest, but then I hear T telling me to get on with it.

Just take your time and cry if you want too, being strong is good but so are tears, take care of yourself, love sandrax xx

Didge,

Just wanted to send my prayers to you at this sad time. You have been absolutely amazing throughout your journey with Rob, sharing and supporting others in the same situation. Providing tips and so much useful information as Emma said, without this so many of us would not know where to begin with this cruel relentless disease. Thank you for all the kind words but now it is your time to deal with the loss of Rob, he will be beside you every step of the way guiding and giving you the strength you need. I know all the forum family will be with you too as we say goodbye to another fighter. Take care lots of love Annette xxx

Thank you Sandra, Nikki also asked for my email but I have not heard so I will chase the administrators and get in touch as soon as I am able. I am glad you are having a holiday. Last time I was in this position, 25 years ago, I forced myself to socialise and do new things, take holidays etc and found it essential to rebuild your life. You need to rebuild a bank of happy memories without the person you have lost, sad as it is that they are not sharing these new occasions. I hope you have a lovely time and hope to be able to be in contact soon! Thank you too everyone else for your lovely comments, it does make it easier to bear having the support of the forum 'family'. Xxx

Hi Didge,

I am not sure what has happened but they gave me your email address, and I have emailed you a couple of times, but you obviously haven't received them. I will message the administrators and ask them to send you mine and will email you again now, just in case it gets through!

I have just re read your post Didge, and you have summed up exactly how I am coping without me realising. The girls and I are off on holiday next weekend, we are having 3 nights in Dubai and then a week in Mauritius. I have booked up for us to spend New Year in Edinburgh. Plus I am spending lots of good days walking with my wonderful friends in training for our mammoth walk. I am back at work, and we have lots of laughs. I remember when I first realised that Paul was unlikely to have very long, after they found the tumour was cancerous, thinking that I would never want to do anything nice again, but as you say Didge you have to make new memories, however hard that is. Paul is rarely far from my thoughts, but the most important thing is to make him proud, by making the best of our lives.

Hi Didge,

I heard your sad news through London Panpals so you know I have already been in touch.

This is my first time on here since so just wanted to add my condolences again to everyone else's. It seems so unfair that you had such a short time with Rob before he was diagnosed but you were an absolute star taking on his diagnosis so early on. I'm sure many wouldn't. And I am sure Rob must have taken so much strength and comfort from your love to him.

We will meet when you are good and ready.

Take care.

And Mark - I have such fond memories of Cestrian too

Didge,

I am so very very sorry to read Rob has passed away.

Such a short time you had together, but you were his strength. I am so very sorry that you are going through this a second time, I really really am. Once is more than enough for anyone.

Like others have said, I really hope you have some good support, and lots of people that can put their arms around you.

Oh Didge, I am so sorry to hear of Rob passing. I haven't known you long on here but I took to you immediately. A kindly kindred soul.

Please take care of yourself, this is so cruel.

Hi Didge,

as an (what is probably only the case on pancreatic cancer terms) old schooler, Ive always felt very close to you and your journey through this with Rob. Even though you had given us an idea this was on the way it still has hit me hard reading your post. I hope you manage to do those things you suggested and make some new happy memories as soon as you are able to. My thoughts are with you and Rob, lots of love xx

Thank you and yes Rob, it hits us especially hard when those we have travelled with on this forum take their leave. I do hope your Carl carries on for a whole lot longer. I will still be around on the forum as I know there are hard times ahead. X

Thank you dodge. Literally waiting now for the phone to ring to let me know the latest ca19 results and I feel so sick. Every time somebody loses a loved one on here it makes it so much harder to wait for test results. If you ever need/want to contact me I'll happily give my email/phone number to the nurses.

When you get Jaynes I will get her to pass in my info, though she is away at the moment on holiday. The nurses may not have it actually, they may just have Carls info I can't remember.

Go green sue

Didge, I know this is belated but I hope you still see it.

I am soooo sorry to hear about Rob. You have been an inspiration to everyone on here. Take some time now to grieve for your Rob and although your time together was short treasure the memories you made together.

Big hugs Sue H
