I just wondered if morphine can affect neutrophil levels.
My last treatment was postponed for a week as my neutrophils were a bit low and I wondered if it could be due to the low dosage of morphine I have been having for back pain.

Re: Affect of morphine
Hi The_petal,
Doing a little search of the literature I see there is some conflicting evidence out there regarding this, some papers even suggest that it can increase white blood cells. However I think it is unlikely that a taking low dose of morphine will be contributing to your low neutrophil count. I hope that your bloods improve so that you can get back on to treatment soon.
Kind wishes,
Rachel
