Re: No bed available at hospital for gastric bypass!!!
Andrera's first grandchild is due anytime now. She sooo wanted to be a part of this little boy's life. I am very excited waiting for him to arrive! I have been finding life very difficult lately. I hope this will give me the additional focus that I need. Sadly, life is still very empty, but I am wor...

Re: Follow up from joint pain
Hi Sue.
You need to push this. Don't be fobbed off. Be polite, but firm, and tell them that it is notr acceptable to wait so long when you are already diagnosed with PC. Look to contacting PALS at your hospital to advise you.
Sending you love, hope and strength,
Hugs, Paul x

Re: Bereavement Support Groups
Hi Sue. I would give anything a try if I thought it might help. We have nothing to lose and you can always walk away from it if it's not for you. I'm still getting support from my friends but I am very confused by my feelings. When people want me to be with them, I somewhat guiltily feel I want to b...

Re: No bed available at hospital for gastric bypass!!!
Thanks Deb and Sam. I am braced for the rollercoaster. One moment seemingly ok, a bit later feeling like a train has hit you. I so want to get off this horrible fairground ride, but I have 3 grown up (allegedly) kids who need me to stay on it. Thank you so much for your kind words. It does help when...

Hi Sam
Sending you love and hugs. This is such a difficult time. I hope I have someone like you in my corner when I am in this situation. I so admire your courage and strength and, reading your earlier posts, we share the same family values I think.
Say strong special lady. Hugs,
Paul x

Re: No bed available at hospital for gastric bypass!!!
Hi Sam, How kind of you to think of me! Weekend was a tough one _ I would normally have been going up to Andrea on Saturday after work. My friends realised and invited me round for a chinese (didn't eat much) and a film. It was really good of them. I got the blubbing over with when I first got there...

Re: No bed available at hospital for gastric bypass!!!
Thanks again Deb, Sue, Jeni. I am self employed Jeni so would be able to take time off if I had more of a cash reserve behind me. So, I haven't had a holiday in 6 years, and have only had one day off sick in that time too. Work did keep me focused for some of the time yesterday but, I have to admit,...

Re: my lovely dad
Hey Petra
Hang in there gal. You are doing a great job fighting your dear dad's corner! We all crack up under the pressure of all this at times. We wouldn't be normal if we didn't. You are one strong lady and I know you will keep pushing for your dad.
Big hugs to you
Paul xx

Re: No bed available at hospital for gastric bypass!!!
Thank you so much my wonderfully supportive forum friends. Yesterday went off ok in spite of the snow (having to wait in falling snow with the flowers at the top of Andrea's street as the hearse and cortege car would not be able to get back up the hill). The minister did a nice service and read out ...

Re: No bed available at hospital for gastric bypass!!!
Thanks Deb. Today I should have been driving up to be with my love. Instead, I will drive up on Monday to stay in her house with her sons ready for the funeral on Tuesday. I console myself with the thought that her suffering is over but, to be honest, it's not helping me enough. I need to find a way...

Re: The Struggle is over
Hi Diane I am so sorry to read the news about Alan's passing. Both you and I are now setting off down yet another path, leaving behind the one we have walked with our loved one as they suffered. As we walk this new, difficult, path, I believe that they will be watching over us and we will always fee...

Re: No bed available at hospital for gastric bypass!!!
Once again, thank you all for your support and kind thoughts - it means a great deal to me. The funeral is confirmed for next Tuesday morning at 09:30. I made it to the hospital on Tuesday. I had the opportunity to look at the referral letter from my GP (which should really have been dated April 201...

Re: No bed available at hospital for gastric bypass!!!
Thank you so much for your kind thoughts and wishes. You have all, through this amazingly resourceful site, given me wonderful support, inspiration, hope and practical information, and I can not thank you enough.I rushed down the nanoknife road - only to be delayed weeks by an allegedly corrupted di...
