Re: 3 months today

I know exactly how you feel, my dad passed away 24th July, we didn't get to the hospital in time, it's a 45 minute cab journey as dad was in a London hospital. I so regret not knowing he was so close to the end. I hadn't been able to visit him due to work and looking after my 5 year old daughter fir...

Re: Love of my life, has secondary cancer

He sounds amazing and an inspiration, it is such a horrific disease. And it's not easy to be strong. I find reading these forums helps. I still don't understand the disease and it seems different in all. Keep strong and if you need to vent or cry then do it.xx

Sounds like he's doing very well, hope you are doing well, seems that all the medics have acted fast, which isn't always the case. X

Re: Does it ever get any easier?

I know how you feel, we didn't get to dad when he died and I regret that every day, however I truly do believe people choose when to pass away, maybe your dad felt that this was the right time. I can't imagine how you feel in terms of how quick it was, however I do know how you feel about loosing yo...

Re: Need some advice if possible !

I'm so sorry such a tough time, I truly believe that people choose to go when they are ready. We where told everyone is different and there is no real signs, some say a bit of a chest rattle and getting frustrated, dad had this in his last 24 hours. However we got told that we would know and be able...

Re: Relationships in 'the worst of times'

Nice to be able to discuss this on here, my mum used to phone me up in tears as dad was being nasty to her and she felt she couldn't retaliate as he was ill in bed. Then there where times she did shout at him and then phoned me up upset that she list his temper. It's so difficult to see someone you ...

Re: lurking on the fringes for 10 months

As hard as it is at least he's home and you can be with him. Our saddest thoughts was dad was 4 days from being sent home and having palliative care but passed away in a London hospital at 1am, we couldn't get there in time to say goodbye and how much we loved him.big hugs to you, you are doing a fa...
