Re: Just diagnosed, is it as good as they say?

Positivity does help and having the strength to face it head on. Good luck and hope the operation goes ahead smoothly and all I can say is don't be worried about asking lots of questions of the consultants.

Re: My Father

I'm so sorry you are you and your father are going through this, all I can advise us ask questions and ask to see the consultant. My dad had the drains in and lots of brown liquid came out over a few days. And he had the stent and it worked wonders. Dad then needed the whipple operation, all the way...

Re: My beautiful mum

Hi there, I'm sorry for the loss of your mum. I lost my dad last August, it still feels strange going to my parents house, it's strange that he's not there, but in a way feels like that he wasn't ever there. Keep strong, but cry and shout when you need too. X

Re: Wish someone would help him

Hi leila, glad it went well and that you managed to read your beautiful letter. I managed a reading at my dad's funeral, which is one of the things that reminds me that he would have been proud of me. I gated leaving the room where his service was. I too miss my dad everyday, but it does get easier....

Re: Tumour size

Two weeks feels like forever, at least if your dad's admitted then they can sort the problem out and try and build his strength up,so he can have chemo. You can then speak to the Dr's on duty and get answers. Good luck, hope you are doing ok.x

Re: Wish someone would help him

I'm so sorry to hear your sad news, you will cope and manage, it's 9 months today I lost my dad, I still think I must phone him and tell him things then realise I can't. I have days that I can't look at photos of him. Just take each day as it comes, that's all any of us can do.x

Re: How do you cope?

Some days I thought that my dad was too ill for chemo, however he surprised me everytime, and it helped his mental attitude as this medicine was fighting the cancer for him. I can't even begin to understand what it feels like for a partner to have cancer, but everyone feels they can't cope, but they...
