Re: frustrated

Hi Sheena, your journey reminds me so much of mine with Mum. I had a great community hospice nurse who helped me so much. She managed to get Mum back into the hospice and it was the best thing! They really do help and it seems to be the best place. Is there anyone who can help you? Do you have good ...

Re: The loss of Mum!

Thank you everyone this is the only place where people truly understand! No one unless they have been through it understands! My own husband said to me last night, "you have to move on" ! How cruel is that! I thought he understood but obviously not! I know we will all be ok and the good memories wil...

Hi everyone I always knew it would be hard to lose such a strong brave wonderful woman but gosh it is hard? I just wondered if anyone else re lived what they went through. I can't stop thinking about the awful things Mum had to go through and the horror of it all! When she was alive I dealt with it ...

Re: Mum's diagnosis

The funeral was hard but we did everything we thought Mum would have loved. The sun shone and the family flowers were all natural and like a country garden which I asked for. I managed to speak, very emotionally with many pauses and deep breaths, but I managed. The grandchildren also spoke beautiful...

Re: frustrated

Hi Sheena how are you today? How is Steve? Do you have support from the hospice or a community nurse? I found them invaluable and so helpful. Your journey sounds so much like mine I think of my Mum every time you post. If you want to e mail me anytime please ask the moderator for my e mail. I am thi...

Re: Positive thinking

I think people deal with this in different ways. My Mum was positive throughout her journey and lived for 19 months not having treatment for a year. She managed to get to her granddaughters wedding through will and determination. My Mum fought PC with hope and dignity. I don't think anyone offends a...
