Re: Roger's Story

Hi Sue If the sickness is really bad ask at the hospital for the tablets EMEND, these are often given to those having "the fox" as we call it, and really help with this awful sick feeling. The chemo ward can normally help and suggest different things and never be afraid to either ask for help on the...

Re: Wish someone would help him

Dear Leila, My heart goes out to you and your Dad. This disease is so relentless and just when things appear to be going okayish something else happens and changes everything. Your Dad has battled bravely, thanks to the support and determination of you getting things done. It is so wrong that people...

Re: Trevor's Story

Hi Sandra, like so many others are saying, this is a disgusting attitude by the hospital. You should really consider going to PALS and putting in a complaint. Some patients experience great service from the NHS but these are in the minority. For most people it is such a battle to get anything done o...

Re: Oliver has completed the Half Marathon for PCUK

Thanks everyone for your kind comments and to everyone who helped Oliver raise so much money for PCUK. It meant a lot to him and also to Tracy and her family. Sunday was a proud day. Re: Please Support Oliver Running Hastings Half Marathon PCU

Just to give you all an update. Oliver ran the Hastings Half Marathon yesterday 22nd March 2015. Although unwell, he was determined to battle through. He had set himself a time for the 13.1 miles of 2 hours (it's a horrendous hilly course). He completed it in 1 hour 54 minutes and has so far raised ...

Re: My Journey So Far

Thanks Mark, I did wonder if like so many others you just take the risk. We have spoken about if something happens you just book a flight back home, although I guess it's just the peace of mind issue. As you say with your knowledge it helps. Wishing you a great holiday you deserve it and once again ...

Re: My Journey So Far

Good Morning Mark, I hope you do not mind me asking, I know you go away on holidays and was wondering how you manage to get travel insurance. For us everytime we mention the "C" word and still being on treatment we get a "computer says No". Having tried numerous companies and answering all the quest...

Re: Carls story

Hi Rob This disease certainly keeps you on your toes. A constant battle and fight to get things done. I ask myself the question over and over again WHY. We know we are not alone as you only have to read others stories and it is so wrong. All a waiting game. What we have to remember is to pick oursel...
