Re: Such a horrible disease

Hi I still can't believe that my dad has gone and that I won't see him again. The funeral and burial of the ashes has been booked for Monday, it all just seems so surreal. I designed and printed the orders of service as wanted to do something personal for my dad, I think he would approve. Just not s...

Hi Marie I am thinking of you and sending you lots of love, strength and virtual hugs to get through this terrible time.someone said to me that I would find the strength to be there until the end and I did somehow. Re: Such a horrible disease

All My dad's journey with PC wasn't very long compared with some of the journeys on here but I am going to continue reading the posts on this site and offering support and advice where I can. This past week has been a bit surreal with arranging the funeral, I just keep trying to focus on the fact th...

Re: tired

Hi Marie You are doing a fantastic job, don't be too hard on yourself. My dad passed away in hospital in the end on Friday. We knew he only had limited time and I remember someone saying to me 'its just a waiting game', I thought this was so insensitive because I didn't ever want him to go. From the...

Re: Such a horrible disease

Hi I can't believe that I am typing this already but my dad lost his battle to fight this terrible disease last night. He developed blood clots and pneumonia and was unable to fight anymore. We were there with him every step of the way. It was just so cruel, he was the best Dad in the world and didn...

I am signed off work and originally felt very guilty for not being there, but know now that I need to help out my Mum and ...

Re: Such a horrible disease

Hi Thanks everyone for your kind words, support and advice. My dad is under care of GP and has both a Macmillian nurse and other nurses which visit him regularly. He is also getting the attendance allowance and has a blue badge, which has really helped with hospital visits and visiting places. His p...
