Christmas

All
I have not posted much on here since my dad passed away last month but have been reading all the posts and just wanted to wish those that have lost loved ones and those that are battling this terrible disease a peaceful Christmas.

Re: Taking the plunge!

Hi bee
Hoping that Chris's funeral goes as well as can be expected tomorrow. I still wake up every day hoping that it has all been as bad dream.
Take care

Re: not again

Hi marie
I really feel for you hun, I don't think I could cope if anyone else in my family or friends developed cancer. I hope the treatment and cure for their cancers are better than for pc.
sending you strength and big hugs

Re: Mum - Just Diagnosed

Hi Ruth Firstly sorry to hear about your mum's diagnosis, it seems to be the norm that it takes everyone so long to get the dreaded diagnosis of pc and then it seems like ages having tests until chemo/ treatment can commence. It sounds like your mum is a very positive lady, she should definitely cal...

Re: Hubby coming home from hospital .

Hi Emma
Hope you managed to get Jon home this evening, from seeing what my mum did for my dad everyday I would recommend that you accept all the help you can get, it's not easy being as carer. Wishing you lots of luck with the next stage of your journey

Hi Aimee

Thinking of you and your family, hope you manage to get your dad moved to the hospice soon. This horrible disease is definitely a rollercoaster of emotions, but admire you for keeping positive that's all you can do

Re: Horrendous night - biliary duct

Hi Aimie Sorry to hear that your dad has gone downhill so quickly, this often seems to be the case with this horrible disease. My dad too ended up in hospital at the end, and although he originally said he didn't wantvto die in hospital, said he felt safest there in his last few days. Thinking of yo...

Re: Such a horrible disease

Thanks all for your kind messages, we had my dad's funeral yesterday it was very emotional with lots of tears but we got through the day. There were lots of people there which was nice to see and the service was really personal. Still can't really believe this has all happened

Re: Swollen legs and abdomen advice

Hi Pam I echo what everyone else has said, there are many reasons for both the swelling in legs and tummy which need to be checked out asap. I would call your gp and ask them to come out as a home visit and explain the urgency or failing that speak to your oncology team that is what they are there f...
