I think he should have had a fluid drip but didnt want to tell them their job. Plus.....I got there after two ...

Re: Pancreatic cancer or bile duct cancer?

Hilary, I'm June and my husband Bill has same as your husband. They tried to do a Whipple but did a bypass because the tumour was attached to all that vital stuff. Bill has lost almost four stone. Eating is a problem. He lived on yoghurt and digestive biscuits. His appetite returned although not as ...

Re: Help us please.

Hi Emma. So sorry to hear of your husband diagnosis, that, for me, was the darkest time, just hearing those words. Somehow you get through that and live one day at a time. Re: Our hero lost the battle

Oh no! Can't see the screen for tears for you! Terrible news. Watching suffering is so hard that at times you want it to be over for them and then on good days you feel awful for thinking such a thing. I don't know how you will cope but you know what? You can and you will. You will get strength to c...

Thanks girls and boys, good to hear from you! Latest news.....Bill in hospital as of yesterday. Clots in his chest! He was feeling really dreadful and very breathless. We made it to the hospital for the chemo but he didn't get it, they admitted him instead. I am glad they did as I was worried about ...

J-T, Karen, Cathy??

Has something gone a bit wonky on the forum? I could see that people had posted recent messages but when I looked I couldn't find the recent stuff? Perhaps I am being a bit thick! How are things with all of you? Please......no bad news for anybody. Bill about to start round three of chemo tomorrow. ...

Re: SYMPTOMS

Gillyana, hi there and I hope you are feeling ok today. My husband experiences the pain you are describing and at times it's really dreadful. Have you been put in touch with a hospice nurse or anyone similar? They are real pain experts and give fantastic support to us. Bill takes OxyContin night and...

Re: Best day so far

Ok I looked seriously for flab just now......none available at present! Bill likes a hot water bottle around the area of his wound for a bit of comfort and ease. Hope all your men have a comfortable bank holiday weekend....Ray Jonathan Bob and the rest. Fingers crossed no hospital dashes. Bad luck i...

Re: Best day so far

Thank you Steve I will mention the angle thing to Bill. Maybe it's because he is so thin that finding any flabbiness is difficult. Bones, yes! Flesh, no! His goal is to gain a stone now that his appetite is returning. Maybe he will get to nine stone soon, yay!
