also my mom had been going to the doc for a year with me before i stormed in and said .. this isn't good enough .. blood tests later .. bile in the blood ... jaundice .. stent .... diagnosis ... we were offered chemo .. can you believe it took 3 mths 3 MTHS?? This is for someone who has very limited...

HI there, Could well be is your dad taking enough laxatives? Morphine can bung you up really bad .. I think something to speak to them about ... infact you will find most drugs given for the cancer care overall will have a constipation effect as it slows down the bowels ... the sickness is probably ...

K, yeah the hand thing ... I just held onto moms hands last night when she was doing it and talked to her .. I ended up sleeping next to her still holding onto her hands til we woke at 7am this morning .. one of those (never ever gonna forget that) moments x

OH MIKE .... passes Kleenex (hopes puta is still in one piece) ... so sorry I did a brain splurge and it all just came out ... It does actually help voicing it all ... I'm at the stage of 'Don't hug me or I'll crack' so I think people are frightened to do it lol .. I've kinda done the macmillan talk...

Hello and welcome, Firstly am so sorry to hear about your Dad I've been pretty much my moms sole carer for almost 8 mths now ... however there is help there through the Marie Curie foundation, carers who can share the load (but your dad would have to say ok) this can be arranged with your macmillan ...

Well with regards to support we're a little bit stuck, mom only has a one bedroomed flat and I been sleeping on the sofa for (actually) 8 mths ...

not been on for a while as mom took another horrible episode .. I hate this disease especially pancreatic its ruthless ... so shes been in a hospice to try and get these same old symptoms under control ... so the sickness nausea and pain all this time has been a partial obstruction caused by the ste...

Oh I knew the episode was coming on ... I tried everything to deter my mom .. but she wasnt having any of it..it's Corrie after all ... Well am not very happy, mom has made it clear that she doesn't want to know timescales for her inoperable cancer, shes 5 mths into diagnosis now ... switch on coronation street ...
Hayley .... how long .... 6 mths without Chemo 12 mths with ... WELL DONE ... am so mad .

Am glad to hear you're doing well Steve it's nice to see someone doing well you see and hear of so many people who aren't..am feeling like atm moms on a good stretch as well .. heres hoping you both stay like this for quite some time :)

Ty Steve was so nice of you to say that ... Moms doc/nurses thought I had a medical background ..I'm just a sponge and take on info super quick ... When you're looking after someone terminally ill I believe you can't leave everything to the docs you need a good instinct for when something not right ...
