Re: Hello from KATB

Karen, thanks for the tips, that's useful information!

Good meeting today, the onc had a more positive demeanor which helps. We're just keeping everything crossed that this treatment is going to be successful and put the cancer in remission!

On we go!

Re: My Dad

Hi Lem so sorry to hear your news. My husband (61) had a similar story, told the awfulness of his position with no-one there and I feel your anger. Our onc is not what you would call upbeat but we're ignoring that! Your dad is on the chemo very quickly so that's good and good that he's tolerating it...

Re: How to stay positive?

Cheryl, everything you say resonates with me. Thank goodness for this forum. Who ever heard of pancreatic cancer? Not me! It is so low profile yet so many famous people succumbed to the disease I'm surprised its not more in the headlines. I wish you strength to continue the journey with your much lo...

Re: Dear dad

I can only reiterate what everyone else has said. PC was never on our radar and we never thought my husband's symptoms would lead to such a diagnosis.

Information and support is crucial and you'll get plenty here.

Good luck on your journey. x

Re: Hello from KATB

Hi, I am Kate's mum :) I asked the Macmillan nurse today about a second opinion and she said it was our right and that onc's don't get upset by it, they all tend to kind of know one another. I did ask if went that route would it impinge on the chemotherapy treatment we will be offered in our own reg...
