Re: Newly diagnosed 45 yr old mum of 4

good to hear you are feeling so positive Marie - onwards and upwards!

the atropine is usually given before the irinotecan infusion, not after?

Re: ITS BEEN A WHILE--THE LOVE OF MY LIFE HAS CANCER

Get your GP out pronto, likewise Macmillan or equivalent. 75g creon isn't enough. Might be worth a chat with one of the nurses here too on Monday.

Re: My Dads diagnosis

that is disgraceful Alison! Be sure to make a formal complaint when you feel up to it. We had a similar situation with a Macmillan nurse - not our usual one - but we were at home at least. You are quite right, those sorts of conversations should be had in a private environment. I feel angry for you....

Re: Dads case

Really sorry to hear about your dad's diagnosis, sounds like he has had it tough! I have no experience of what your dad has but wanted to welcome you to the forum and to assure you, you will get some really good help and useful advice. You might want to give one of the nurses a ring, or send an emai...

Good grief Rob, how many knocks can one man take? That is so rubbish after all the good news. Still it might just be a blip and I really hope it is.

Much love to you both.

Re: dicission on whether to have chemo

Hi Glen, welcome but sorry to hear of your diagnosis. Didge's post about covers it really. I'm guessing this is all still quite raw and you are still taking everything in. Everyone is so different, whether they are ill or not! My husband, diagnosed early 2013, chose to go the chemotherapy route as h...

Re: Steve's story

Hi fatigue is a common problem. I think if his stent was blocked his urine would be dark again and start to get jaundiced.

Hope Steve starts to feel a bit better.

Re: So far so good!

Good to hear the procedure went well - apart from the sickness. Sounds like you would have been pretty uncomfortable with food stuck in your tubes!!! Also good they have gemcap as a contingency, that with your doggedness combined I am sure you WILL fight it off for a loooooooooooong time yet! All th...

Re: Husband J Severe D & V

Hi Elsie, welcome to the forum and sorry your husband and you are having to deal with PC. I remember Ray's first infusion and for a couple of days he was fine and we thought he was going to get away with no side effects, wrong! People have varying degrees of side effects and sound like your husband ...
