Re: Welcome to this new sub forum

Hi Mike,

Please may I ask what the clinical trial is that you are waiting to have?

I also await to hear from a Prof in London who I ask about the possibility of a trial, but I would be very grateful if you were able to tell me about yours?

Thanks
Linda

Mandy, I can only echo Steve's message as I feel he has managed to convey how we all feel for you and your family right now.

Re: A Mother in a Million

Hi Nia, Welcome to PCUK to you and your mum. I was taken into hospital with Jaundice and Diabetes in December last year PHEW!! I could cope with that, then my body had other ideas. I'd been poorly for some time with tummy problems, but didn't know what on earth it was. Cutting a long story short I h...

You've given me hope that I will still be around in 2015 to see my daughter graduate.

Well done and may you live many more years.

Re: Folfirinox and effects

Hi Brian I found the only thing I could really stomach when I was feeling terribly sick, was Complan. I found this to be really good and besides milk shakes they also do soups which I felt were much better than ordinary tinned soups. I hope she is feeling better soon, there's nothing worse than feel...

Hi Michael, I don't really know anything about the met you speak of in your lower left abdomen, so unfortunately, I'm unable to help you with that, but as Julia points out, Jeni or Dianne will be able to give you the correct information. Now with regard to your constipation and diarrhoea, well I fou...

More money thrown at IVF

On this morning's BBC breakfast news, there are now proposals for couples to be able to 'introduce' a third person to help them have a baby which could be disease free. Okay, I think I maybe simplifying things here and yes, whilst I agree to have a child is special (I had problems conceiving, fortun...

Hi Zoe, You will get through this period in your life and you will come out the other side being a stronger person. Just take your time. There is no time limit on grief, but it will get easier as the years pass and the wonderful memories of mum will be just that....wonderful. I wish you and your fam...

Re: newbie need help plz

Please try not to be scared Adrian. I think the nurses on this wonderful site will be able to lay your fears to rest and give you some good advice. Unfortunately, I do not have any information on bile duct cancer, but if surgeons say whipple plus chemo it sounds to me like you're going to be well lo...

It's wonderful to think even though we are going through this awful time in our lives, life still goes on and keeps us at ground level....every birthday is so special when you're fighting cancer.

Happy Birthday my friend or should I say Pen-blwydd hapus?

Re: What to Expect

Hi Anthony, I think tomorrow - Monday 24th, one of the nurses (Jeni or Dianne) will be ale to answer your questions in more detail, so hang on in there and you will receive all the information you need. All I can add, that even though your dad was very fit before his PC, 84 years - bless him - is a ...

Re: Pain!

Looking at your posts I cannot help but smile. I am having to put so much pepper on my food that I end up sneezing all the way through eating it. Sometimes though I buy a really strong pickle and the first taste is fabulous, then after that, it really knocks me sick....can't win. Onions, especially ...
