Re: Our hero lost the battle

Well the final party is over and if I do say so myself I think Bob would have been proud of us all. The weather was actually dry enabling close family to walk behind Bob to the quaint village church up the road. The church was packed with people having to stand at the back. Bob had chosen his songs ...

Currently in bed listening to the sounds of everyone else getting up and hoping the relatives will sort the dishwasher out ( packed up ...

Re: Folfirinox started on Wednesday and other stuff

Dear Julia and Kate, Just seen your post and words cannot express how sorry I am that another brave man has passed. What has always shone through all your posts Julia is what a lovely united family you are and I know that both you and Kate supported and fought for Ray always. He must have been so co...

Re: Our hero lost the battle

Thank you Bee - I have to say I am thinking about the funeral with trepidation. It seems so final. Spent yesterday cutting the grass and weeding for Bob's arrival home as he would want everything perfect. The grass was rather wet and I used the electric mower to my neighbours and mothers horror - I ...

Re: coping - or just

Liz - Like June I think that if you get your Gp to fill in a DS1500 form you will then be entitled to benefits. We did not receive any benefits or even a blue badge as Bob refused to accept his illness. Anyway as he worked until 4 weeks before passing I guess it didn't matter. In answer to your ques...

Re: coping - or just

Oh Liz It made me feel so sad reading your post. My husband was also young at 51 and he faced this disease with such courage, fighting for exactly a year until he developed an infection like Hilary's husband and passed away in weeks. Prior to the infection he was still working and life was as normal...

Steve I am so pleased for you and your family. I have also read research suggesting that nanoknife is well placed to be used during the whipples so do ask. Cant think where I saw it though!
Good luck

Hi Julia,
Just wanted you all to know that I'm still thinking of you and so sorry to hear Julia that things are not too good with you. I know only too well how absolutely physically and emotionally exhausted you must be. Rest assured you are doing a fantastic job. Try to keep your strength up xxx
