Re: I'm back

Hi Lynn, glad to see your post. I pop in and look but have found it quite difficult to post as much as I did. I look forward to hearing about your fundraising, I'm just getting things sorted for a fundraise in December. Take care Lynn, and welcome back. xx Sue, sorry about Pete, I hope you find some...

Re: Recently diagnosed!

Hi Sue, Firstly, I wanted to say how sorry I am to hear of your husband's diagnosis. PC is so unfair, at such a young age, you must be in complete shock. My mum had PC last year, in the same place as your husband, but she had it in two lymph nodes too. She had 4 sessions of chemo, for her it was qui...

Re: Missing my mother so much

Hi A week is no time at all, you will have so many different emotions going through your head, now and in time to come. There is no right or wrong way to deal with grief. I do think that your husband should possibly read this site, it may help him understand how you are feeling, and any different be...

Re: my friend wendy

Dear Laura I am so sorry to hear of your friend Wendy. I haven't been able to come on this site too often, in recent months, not being in a very good place, so I missed your post back in September. You are a lovely person, who takes a great deal of time in caring for others, not many people are as c...

Re: Update on my Dad

oh Rachel, I am so very sorry that your Dad is so poorly. He seemed to be doing so well, I had real high hopes for him. I do hope that you get some more time with him, but I know, sadly, that it probably isn't going to happen. Your girls will be fine, they are such a young age, that things go into a...

bittersweet day

Today is my wedding anniversary, 9 years I have been married to my wonderful husband. He has been my lifeline, hope and light that has got me through this terrible time of mum's illness and her death. Writing his card today, it made me realise how incredibly lucky that I am, but also it's a sad day,...

Re: Feeling so sad.

Hi Suz Was wondering how you were. I think what you are going through is part and parcel of grief. I went through the same, thinking mum was on some long holiday, and in the end I went into melt down, wanting to see her. I started bereavement counselling, and for me, it has worked. It's helped me re...

Re: Welcome to this new forum on coping with loss

Dear Catherine I am very sorry to hear of your Son's terrible ordeal. For me it is quite frightening reading this as I am very nearly your Son's age. He was so young, and seems terribly unfair and unjust not only by that fact of having this hidious cancer but also by the lack of care/information fro...
