Re: Spiritualist medium - believe or not?

Hi Well, I did work but I stopped when Andy took poorly and I've not gone back, and it's been a nightmare as they haven't kept in touch, tried to stop my SSP before time, excluded me from Christmas party last year, and now people are being made redundant. My friend who has no children who I went on ...

Re: Spiritualist medium - believe or not?

Louie/Rachael I'm glad you feel the same, I have an iPhone so it's easy to log on before bed. Funny coz when Andy was here he used to say I could sleep for England, now it's the complete opposite! Even with a sleeping tablet? My brain is very powerful, and always thinking of 100 things at once! This...

Spiritualist medium - believe or not?

Hi Regulars on here will know me and my story, but to anyone new, hope this helps. Tonight I went to a clairvoyant evening, a last minute decision, in place of a friend who couldn't attend. I was picked out, the medium spoke of my Andy, dates, and specific things that had me sat holding my friends h...

Re: Can anyone help ?

Dear Helen I can see how frustrated and upset you are, this is probably because this whole terrible ordeal has happened so quick, many people on this forum have experienced it, myself included. My husband was 39, and diagnosis to death 7 weeks, we hardly knew what had hit us and he'd gone. Then, lik...

Re: Can anyone help ?

Hi You sound so confused and upset, understandable, the last part of your email suggests your dad had advanced pancreatic cancer that had spread to his lungs, that is the lung metastasis bit. Pancreatic cancer is awful, fast, and not detected quick enough. Did your dad see an oncologist? Maybe you s...

Re: Welcome to this new forum on coping with loss

Hi mints Well an emotional day, but not as bad as last night, which was horrendous! I totally agree, being an only child you kind of get used to yr own company, but this is very different. My house does not feel like a home anymore, most nights the ticking of the clock makes me feel quite alone and ...

Re: Welcome to this new forum on coping with loss

Hi Louie
Thank you, it doesn't matter who are loved ones are, it's still awful, sad, upsetting and frustrating, as we want to do all we can.
It's good to speak with ppl who understand, as it's very hard unless you are living it or have experienced it

Re: Welcome to this new forum on coping with loss

Hi Mints Well, I find counselling a help, but I know it's not for everyone. It's easier for me because I'm an only child, and my parents truly loved Andy like a son. So, for me to talk about how I feel is hard as they get upset. Maybe you could try a few sessions? Last year I went to the church wher...

Re: Welcome to this new forum on coping with loss

Hi It's been a year for me, tomorrow would have been our 3rd wedding anniversary but my second without Andy. We were together 15 years, but being 34 and a widow I'm still struggling, time isn't healing, in fact, I can't even think too much about what happened because, when I do I feel like I may nev...

Re: Music

I have our wedding lyrics tattoo'd on my side
Coldplay - the scientist
"nobody said it was easy, it's such a shame for us to part,
Nobody said it was easy, no-one ever said it would be this hard"
Oh take me back to the start"

Re: First meeting with an Oncologist

Hi I really do hope that the sequence of events is how Jeni describes, because in our experience, it was very different. I suppose it depends on which hospital you are lucky or unlucky enough to be referred to. That is my reason for my concern for you keeping a log of questions and answers Love Lynn...
