Re: My Amazing Dad

Hi I totally agree with what Deb has put, I lost my husband to PC in August 2010, and I am still at counselling, its through our local hospice even though my Andy was never a patient there. They have been brilliant, and as Debbie says, I have been able to talk through, and question my feelings witho...

Re: mum's birthday in the hospice

Hi Misti Just think though, you made a real effort for your mums birthday, today it was all about her, and not about PC, I think you have achieved a good day, yes your mum was sick, but she was awake and with people she loves on her day. Let's hope some more of those good days are ahead. Take care T...

Re: my wife

Hi Drew
My husband suffered the same fatigue and confusion he had haloperidol to stop his twitching too but that made him hallucinate more.
Just take each day as it comes, and love lots.
Your always in my thoughts

Lizzy
I've just read back through our posts to one another, I'm still not sleeping, so if you need to rant, or someone to listen just ask Jeni for my details, I'd be happy to be in touch.
I'm thinking of you at this sad time.

Re: My husband has just been diagnosed...

Dear Nia

I know how you feel, I hope the counselling with ease things a little?
You can only try eh?
I sometimes read my old posts and they seem like someone else has written them?
Its all a bit surreal at times xxxxx

Re: My Dad

Hi

I would keep on at the hosp, as in my personal experience we waited too long and then it was too late as my husband was too ill to receive it.

thinking of you

Re: Mum

Louie A hug for you, let me tell you, 15 months on, I think about Andy ALL the time, I make my brain ache trying to picture every bit of his face, his smell, his touch. I try to hear his voice, it's all there but you just try and long for it so hard it becomes like you are mad? So I know how you fee...

Re: End stage and Ascites

Hi Rosie Well it sounds like your husband is doing well, and you have raised money for PCUK too, excellent! It's all you can do, battle on, my Andy never smoked either, drank occasionally and was a keen footballer and runner, our local football club have donated loads for my charity work, and have f...

Re: End stage and Ascites

Hi Rosie I lost my husband age 39, and although we had no children i kind of know what you are going through? Another lady on here - Debbie, lost her beautiful daughter age 27. Your husband sounds like he has had good treatment so far though, a lot more advanced than with mine, so keep fighting, rea...

Dear Louie Im so sorry for your loss, you are very brave letting us all know so soon about it, I can imagine your on autopilot right now. The clock time struck a chord with me, and I believe your right, its a sign from your mum. Take care of yourself over the next few days, and im sending love and p...

Re: Steve Didn't Make Christmas

Oh Diane That must have been hard - finding the Christmas present. I have kept all receipts from stuff Andy bought me just before he passed. And I have hundreds of cards he sent me going back to 1995 when we met. I was a hoarder, and glad I was. The 17th Jan seems ages away? But better on a day you ...
