Re: Dealing with the tragic death of a loved one

Dear Millyjo There are no magic words I can offer that will be able to make it 'alright 'again but I wanted to let you know that my thoughts and love are with you. I lost my beautiful daughter Gemma to this horrific cancer in August this year, she was only 27 years old and life has been pretty tough...

Re: Blue

Dear Clair I don't get on here that much since Gemma's death but just happened to log on and found your message. I am so terribly sorry to read about Blue - you were one of my inspirations when I found this site and your strength, resilience and devotion to Blue really came through. Of course there ...

Re: Enquiry - anyone else had this happen?

HI there I am so sorry to hear of your loss - my daughter died six weeks ago on August 8th at 27 years of age and due to the fact that she was so exceptionally young and, like your husband only had some vague pains to start with, her consultants are conducting a case report on her and hope to get it...

Gemma - 8th August 2010

Just posting to let everyone know that my wonderful, brave remarkable daughter Gemma died yesterday afternoon aged 27 years old. Gemma had been ill with inoperable pc for some time and it was my privilege to care for her at home during her last few months. My wish for Gemmas legacy is that more fund...

Re: Four months and he is gone

Dear Wendy I was so upset to read your post but like everyone else on this forum I am thinking of you. I know that my 27 year old daughter has only a little time left even though we were originally told she had 2/3 weeks - that was on April 1st. I don't think we can ever be really prepared no matter...

Re: I'm having myself a pity party (Feel free not to read)

Hi Nicki My heart goes out to you - wouldn't it be good to just say 'Beam Me Up Scottie' ! Heres hoping everything resolves itself - I too am very impressed with the fact that you are still managing to work with all of this going on! I haven't been able to work since April but as mentioned in anothe...

Hello to everyone and heartfelt sympathy to Mark on the loss of his partner recently. I have no specifc reason for coming on today other than to silently have a scream at what this disease is doing to my beautiful daughter. Gemma is holding her own but it is so heartbreaking to watch her slowly fadi...

Re: update on younger people with pc

Thank you Ellie and Juliana for your kind words - Juliana I will certainly suggest to Gem that there is someone for her to contact if she would like to. It is such a comfort to be able to come onto this site and find real empathy and understanding.

Thank you again

Debbie.

Re: The proverbial bad penny

Hi Nicki and I am so sorry to hear about Ted - my thoughts and prayers are with you. We now at least have Gemma back at home again although she is extremely frail and unable to do much for herself - it is heartbreaking to see her try to move around as this is my beautiful daughter with a 6' model fi...
