Re: Severe distention and tightness

Hi Michaela Really sorry to hear you are still so uncomfortable. I also had bloating but by the sound of it nowhere near as bad as you. If any consolation, it has eased after my second chemo. I still get burning stomach cramps and a bit of bloating but the constipation is better. (Piles now a nuisan...

Re: Just my story....Michaela1.x

Hi Michaela First one down, well done! Re constipation, it makes you feel so miserable it would make a saint snappy! My first experience I found after about day 5 I got horrible stomach cramps as if I had a radioactive curry inside me...but the result was goodbye constipation! Unfortunately it comes...

Re: Nano knife for Stage IV PC.

Hi again That’s brilliant the Professor responded so quickly and is able to pick up the scan. I suppose the smaller the tumours the better the chances of success so just hope the chemo has some effect. I’ll do anything if it will help, I wonder if your oncologist might have a different opinion if sh...

Re: Nano knife for Stage IV PC.

Hi Many thanks for posting your NanoKnife findings, certainly a route I’m interested in following. At what stage did you approach the professor and how long did it take for a response? My second Folfirinox last Thursday has been much better than the first, nausea under control, energy dipped a bit a...

Re: First folfirinox experience

Morning Michaela!

Lots of luck for today, it is very nerve racking, something we never thought we would have to do but you will be ok. Hope your tummy settles and no, you are not a wimp! Far from it!

Look forward to an update, lots of love xx

Re: Battling to get treament

Hi Sorry you had a bad Thursday but so pleased you managed your treatment although it sounds like a nightmare day! Had my round two and so far so good, better than one and nausea under control thank goodness. No doubt dip after steroids but a day at a time. Looking forward to your NanoKnife investig...

Re: First folfirinox experience

Hi Michaela So pleased you had a fantastic day, congratulations again. Had my round two on Thursday and touch wood, so far better experience than first. Seem to be managing the nausea this time which was a big problem before but I think I was feeling really rubbish pre treatment last time which didn...

Re: First folfirinox experience

Hi! All set for round two tomorrow. Dr doom had nothing negative to say but I didn’t feel any more hopeful even though I told her how well I’d felt over the last few days. I came home and hoovered the house top to bottom, cleaned bathrooms and kitchen floor......then fell asleep! Michaela....have yo...

Re: First folfirinox experience

Hi Michaela First of all congratulations on your wedding, I’m sure you’ll have a lovely day despite this unwanted guest. I’ve just been lying awake going over the nightmare of the last few weeks and still find it hard to believe how my life has changed. I’m never ill, rarely get colds, non smoker, d...

Re: First folfirinox experience

Morning All! Procal powders for me too! Can’t believe what a difference a couple of days makes. Thursday felt like crawling under a stone and staying there but been on a steady up energy wise since then. Even pain better. No throwing up for two days! Wouldn’t say I could forget what’s going on insid...

Re: First folfirinox experience

Hi Sandra Your husband’s experience is pretty much as mine energy wise. I know you are told roughly what to expect but it’s not the same as experiencing it. On the whole, it hasn’t been as bad I as was expecting but admit I’ve never felt so completely drained as I did yesterday. Thank you for your g...

Re: First folfirinox experience

Morning! Amazed they didn’t know what to do with your leak! Scary!! Don’t want to speak too soon but woke up this morning feeling like a different person to yesterday! Totally wiped out yesterday but hopefully this is the start of the ‘up’ for a few days. Thanks for diet tips, I’ll give your suggest...

Re: First folfirinox experience

Morning! Meant to post a ‘daily diary’ but all too much effort! All ok, up and down days. Never felt so exhausted! I think lack of appetite the worst problem, trying to make myself eat but not easy. Some days I think I’ve cracked it and enjoy some food only to lose it. Think I feel marginally better...
