Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

Dear Mo, I agree about the insulin, I stopped Louis’ if he wasn’t eating otherwise his bloods fell like a stone and made him feel terrible. The nice thing about only having to bother about yourselves is there is no pressure to spend the day in the kitchen with a turkey if what you want is a pyjama d...

Re: Diagnosed in May 2017

Hi Tina, Sorry you are having some discomfort following your Radiotherapy. Sadly no one can't say how long the effects are likely to last with you as everyone reacts differently. I guess the nurses on here are away now until after the holiday but perhaps you can telephone the radiotherapy unit for s...

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

Write whatever you like my lovely, whenever you feel like it and don't feel bad because you went out and sat in the traffic! You are doing your best and that is all anyone can do. You and I both believe that Christmas is about the birth of a baby and it doesn't matter one jot what we eat. Left to my...

Re: Help over Christmas

Hi 9ham, We all worry that we could have/should have done more it's a normal reaction but we do what we can. I think the very best gift your Mum could have is to know that you are well, happy and confident or at least much better than you were. I agree with Didge that you should let your Mum do what...

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

You are doing amazingly well with the many facets of this disease Mo and being a little too stoic sometimes but we have all been there too. Having the hard conversations has to come and I would encourage you both to do this as it sets the path of how someone wants to be treated, where, and by whom. ...

Re: My Lovely mum

Hi Honey, Welcome to the forum. No one wants to be here but it provides a wonderful support network for patients, family and carers. I am sure you will find it helpful. Veema has already pointed you to my thread but as she says, everyone is different and it can be a real roller coaster ride, if you ...

Re: A new Forum here?

I take a breath before making this comment as none of us would want Dianne or Jeni to feel we were not 100% supportive of them, which we are, they are indeed very special people for whom we would walk on hot coals but surely it is possible to say that PCUK has contributed without revealing any confi...

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

Good Morning Mo,

I hope you and Peter are keeping comfortable, warm and cosy. The forecast has been dire for Scotland. Just wanted to let you know I was thinking of you all. Does Boris have snow boots?

Re: A new Forum here?

I think it's a great idea but Didge has a point too. I'm for anything that gets the prediagnosed support to tackle their GP's and a fast route to diagnosis and to get those with acute anxiety or IBS to the forums and groups which can best support them. We all understand that anxiety can cause real p...

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

Delighted that Peter has revived and that you are both home. It's a worry when they are away from you and worry when you are the sole carer at home. BUT, you are both home and can sleep in your own beds and there is a lot to be said for that. Night night Mo and Peter, rest well and may you have a pe...

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

Dont have regrets about anything Mo, we are not saints, we all have our breaking points and we will all be forgiven. We do our very best and no one, especially you should beat yourself up about it. Yell on here as much as you like and scream from the roof tops that this is unfair on them and on us, ...

Hi Mo,

Hope you managed a little rest and that Peter is comfortable and a bit less anxious now. Love and hugs always Mo and best wishes and prayer that you both have a good day
