Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

Hi Mo, Taffy is our very grumpy shih Tzu, and Sweet Pea is our 17 year old demanding male moggie. When he was a kitten the vet said that's a strange name for a tom cat, but I named him before he was sexed, and didn't want to change it. Hope you're having a better day today. Regarding the eye appoint...

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

I too am a horrible person. I think I've become accustomed to choosing what to watch on TV. Last night Adrian stayed up with me, and of course the remote didn't leave his hand.....I could feel the anger rising. I can't believe how angry I felt over a bloody remote control when there's not a lot on T...

Re: The nightmare so far....

Adrian has coped really well with the 2nd line chemo. So much so Dr Doom prescribed another 3cycles and said he had amazed her!!! Today we've been for another scan. We're seeing Dr Doom tomorrow before chemo on Thursday, so we'll discuss with her when we can have the results. Adrian is taking it all...

Re: New - feeling scared

Hi Sue, Sorry you find yourself in this position. It's horrible. You are currently in shock, you will be for a while..... take the time off to be with your family. If the biopsy isn't good news, as the ladies have said, there are treatments to prolong life. Take a breath, get the PIP sorted, and loo...

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

Hello Mo, I can sympathise with you...I try to support Adrian with his 'its not happening' outlook, it can be very frustrating. I think its the only way he can deal with it. I wish I could adopt a similar outlook, but its just not me. Keep drinking wine and tell the bunnies to go stuff themselves xx...

Re: The nightmare so far....

Good news on the chemo front, Adrian is coping well with the new regime. He was weighed after the first cycle and he'd gained a pound so I was delighted! The consultant is arranging another CT scan after 3cycles to see where we are. I just hope and pray its having a good effect for him. I've had som...

Re: The nightmare so far....

Adrian had steroids a couple of months ago. They worked brilliantly , and kick started his appetite again. He hasn't had any for about 4 weeks. He was very sick last night, so today I spoke to his palliative care nurse, who had been delighted with his progress, and she said he had to see our GP. The...

Re: The nightmare so far....

So the dreaded appointment on 17th was as bad as I thought. The July scan showed the cancer nodules in my darlings lungs have grown back, and his lymph nodes at the back of his stomach are inflamed. He's had stomach aches for the past few weeks, and I had a feeling there had been some progression. T...

Oh Mags, you are really going through it, emotionally and physically. My heart goes out to you. When Adrian was on oramorph he became constipated, he was prescribed Laxido, 2 a day to start off with.....he found them very effective. It must be so difficult when you know you should be eating, but are...
