Re: Newly Diagnosed

Fingers crossed for the stent being blocked, Elaine. It seems odd to wish for that outcome but it's the lesser of 2 evils. I think it was Mo who said something about having a day off from cancer and I'm feeling like this lately. Reading through posts only serves to reinforce what's ahead. The future...

Re: Newly Diagnosed

Hello Elaine so sorry to hear that Pete's on a dip at the moment and, of course, it affects your mood too. Please try not to worry too much and I'll look out for your update on Wednesday. Love Vee xxxx

Re: Newly Diagnosed

Oh, Elaine that's a stressful couple of days for you all but you've got it off your chest and I hope you feel better for that. Hoping you and Pete have a relaxing, trouble free weekend.

Re: Goldline

The phone line has been recently set up at the surgery. It's minimal waiting time on the phone and can be used by all Goldline patients for the usual prescription requests or to speak to a GP. It should be nationwide, Elaine. Vee xx

Goldline

Hello.....After reading a good few threads describing people's treatment and the care services that are in place,it's been a revelation how care and treatments differ from area to area. Where we live we have the Goldline. It's a 24/7 phone line whereby patients or carers can access information or he...

Re: Hello

Thanks Elaine....because Allan's just on palliative we don't have indications of whether the disease is progressing or not. But,there seems to be so much worry waiting for blood or scan results for patients on chemo. Worry all round. Take care xx

Re: Newly Diagnosed

So nice that you've had sitting out weather. Yesterday we had rain but today's sunny but chilly.I hope Pete's bloods are ok for the chemo to go ahead and, on a lesser note, that that the MOT is painless for your purse! X

Re: Hello

Hello again...just a couple of questions that I have after reading through a lot of posts. I'm certain that somebody will be able to answer them. Why do people have different types of chemo? I never realised there were so many variants. Are some more aggressive than others? What are the markers that...

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

Ah, Quicky. ..It seems that us women need more tuition in the things that we've been doing for donkey's years! You have a springer. ..We had one for 14 years and I still melt when I see one...my favourite breed but I won't get another as the one we had was a rescue dog when he was a year old and he ...

Re: Newly Diagnosed

Hi Elaine...I really hope that Pete will be able to have next week's chemo. It will give him hope and maybe this is what's playing on his mind. I feel as if Allan spends all his time concentrating on himself. .. do you understand what I mean? He's gone "inwards". Pete may feel as if he doesn't want ...

Re: Newly Diagnosed

Hello Elaine...good to hear things are as ok as they can be. We've had visitors on Saturday, Sunday and today. Allan doesn't have much to say to them either. The friends who came today have been travelling round Europe in their motor home and told some interesting tales but Allan wasn't following th...

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

Yes, Mo, it's very quiet. I've been a bit worried about Elaine as she hasn't updated on Pete's progress. I truly hope all's ok. I've only been here a week yet when we're all in the same boat on this forum. Your rhododendrons are early! Do you live in the south? Up here in the north the snowdrops and...
