Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

Time to lower ironing standards by the sound of it. My mother would be ashamed but my iron lives permanently in the cupboard!! Talking of sharps boxes UK clearly has a problem. My sister has just been through a twisted laborious saga to try and get rid of dad's until someone finally took pity and ag...

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

Mo so pleased Peter has shown such improvement. Have to laugh at the consultant. View of the nurses here at work is Consultants live in their own private and v self-important world! However they definitely do have their uses but I wouldn't bother with your genuflect 🤣. Best wishes to Boris. He must ...

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

That's terrible for your neighbour Mo. And 52 is so young. I understand how she feels exactly. If it helps please tell her Australia has a top notch health system and she will be getting the best care possible. Keep us posted on Peter and also how you are going as well as lord B of course!

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

Mo I'm glad you managed a good nights sleep. I always found wine helped me when I'd spent the day with dad at the hospice but you managed it without 'medicinal' assistance. I had multiple pulmonary embolisms 20 years ago thanks to a long haul flight - it does make you feel crap. I hope once peter is...

Article on Research into Long term surivors

I hope it's okay to post this. I found this interesting http://www.smh.com.au/national/health/scientists-discover-neoantigen-that-mimics-infectious-disease-predicts-longterm-pancreatic-cancer-survival-20171108-gzh8y4.html There is a lot of research being done here in oz into cancers with poor outcom...

Re: reliability of CT scans

Hi Fifi. I lost my dad to pc this year. He did not have any symptoms until the cancer was large enough to block his bile duct and clearly visible on ct. I have many of the symptoms you mention except the weight loss (!) but mine are due to a combination of anxiety, grief and ibs plus the onset of pe...

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

Mo your vents are a tonic. I know that's a strange thing to say but I'm pretty sure we all enjoy hearing from you. So vent away as blue as you like. Am glad Boris is "supporting" Peter albeit whilst watching the inside of his eyelids! Dad's dog George is going strong. my sister posted a lovely spani...

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

Mo, 15 holes that's pretty impressive! I have expressed an interest in a puppy from my dog trainer's labrador who was due to be mated in October but this has now been postponed till her next season. To be honest still struggling without my jakey and dad, so not a bad thing to have some time. Likely ...

Re: New diagnosis

I am so sorry for your loss. We all understand what you have gone through. The bad news and the hits seem relentless. If there is one good thing, it reminds us to tell our loved ones we love them and not sweat the small stuff. And remember you are not alone x
