Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

Mo brilliant news for Peter and yourself....I am so happy at the results no need to ask how Peter is feeling as the golf buggy says it all. Why don't you get two and go on a Peter and Mo road trip , No need to book accomodation as you can just pop into a different forum buddies house every night , I...

Re: Newly Diagnosed

We had a good weekend the weather was warm enough to be able to sit out and Pete spent about three hours sitting out until his bottom was aching and forced him indoors to lie down. He has been eating well to try and up his weight as it is going back on so slowly. Think mostly because he has lost so ...

Re: Hello

Hi there Veebee I am unsure about the different types of chemo. Pete is on Abraxane and Gemcitibane three weeks on and one week off. I don't know if this can be considered an aggressive therapy but he has had quite a lot of side effects from it and also one episode of neutropenic sepsis. He starts h...

Re: Grumpy's Story

Hi it may be a good idea to speak to the GP about his low mood as there is medication that can help with this and it may enable him to start taking an interest in his surroundings again. Pete was the exact same but he is on medication now that improves his well being and his appetite and gradually h...

Re: My mums story

Hi Blossom your Mums journey with PC mirrors so many of forum members loved ones ow journey. You will find a lot of knowledge on here and a huge support for not only your mum but for yourself. Pete had the stent put in and there was a huge improvement as his jaundice started to clear also all the as...

Re: 36 yo adv pancr cancer patient treated in France

Pleased to hear that the prof got in touch and explained it fully to you. As you said if you have all the facts before you then it enables you to move on and plan your next actions such as getting a PET scan and speaking to the oncologist about ablations. If things are not clear then it all just bec...

Re: Carls story

Hi Rob I am so sorry to hear Carl's latest results and I can only imagine how you are both feeling. I am hoping and praying that you can find another form of treatment and I know if there is one that you will move mountains to ensure Carl has it. Thinking of you both. Hugs to both

Re: Newly Diagnosed

You are right Veebee I can always count on sound advice from M. Well the trip to the garden centre took place and we managed lunch. Pete was with us and enjoyed his meal but did not really take part in the conversation preferring just to eat. After lunch I wanted to get compost and two pots as his b...

Stephua that is great you have a number for the nurses I think it will be great for you to have the back up of their wide experience and knowledge. They always reply quickly which could save you from worrying for days on end about something you are not sure of. Thinking of you. Hugs.

Re: Mom's Story

Hi Lisa I think Marmalade has said it all so thoroughly that all I can do is agree with her comments ....this is the place to be if you are confused or worried or just need advice about anything at all someone always responds. I would be lost without the comfort it gives me. Hoping and praying you g...

Re: Newly Diagnosed

Hi Veebee it must be a symptom of PC if Allen has the same reaction to other people. I just feel everyone is being so kind and so supportive of Pete and I and sometimes feel quite annoyed at the way he ignores people. As soon as they leave he reverts right back into his normal behaviour. I know that...
