Re: Grumpy's Story

Quickly I was sad to read your post that your Dad had passed away. I think although we know from the diagnosis what the outcome is going to be it doesn't make it any easier and we are never prepared for the end. You will be so glad you spent time with your Dad. Everyone says that time is a great hea...

Re: Metastatic adenocarcinoma

Hi Channers how long is something no one can tell. It is difficult dealing with PC as there seems to be no telling what symptoms each person will have and it is a day to day illness in that it can change so quickly but you will cope and the forum members and the nurses will see you through this jour...

Re: IBS?

I am sorry to hear your news Helen. I can understand you being shocked. Pete hated the oncologist meetings. That's good they are putting in your line next week and you will get started on your chemo, have they said yet what chemo you will be having ? Did you speak to them about the painful cramping ...

Re: Metastatic adenocarcinoma

Hi Channers and welcome to the forum. I think Sandra has covered everything in her post. It is so true that everyone has a different journey throughout this horrid illness and respond different to treatment. I think because diagnosis usually comes so late in the progress of PC it is impossible to me...

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

Aw Mo you could do without your injury and having to use crutches , you need to get Peter to bring you his buggy home from the golf club. I could just picture you and Peter striding ( you hobbling ) up and down the hospital corridors and the waft of Peters expensive aftershave in your wake. Hope you...

Re: Hello

Hi there was pleased to read that Allan has accepted the frame etc ....people refuse to accept the aids without realising how much they need them. On the other hand I guess it reinforces that you are unwell and would rather not face you need them. Thinking of you both. Take care

Re: 36 yo adv pancr cancer patient treated in France

Hi Stephua it was great to read that your holiday was a success and that you and the children had a wonderful time. I was also delighted to read that your scan results were good and that your c-19 markers were down. I am just taking life one day at a time right now and missing Pete constantly. I als...

Re: Hello

Hi Vee hope Allen is having a better week , I know what you mean about the eating issue ,I used to have nightmares about that and feel I was failing Pete and if he didn't eat I got caught up in all the " can I make you this can I make you that " and I now know his appetite was something that I could...

Re: Newly Diagnosed

Hi everyone the past three weeks have been so busy plus so empty at the same time I don't even think I can put into words yet how I feel. I wake up every day and a few seconds later remember Pete is not here , I know so many of you have been here so you will know exactly what I mean, thank you to ev...

Re: Newly Diagnosed

Hi everyone I am so sad to have to tell you Pete slipped away at noon on Wednesday. He got his wish and we were all with him so it was what he wanted. He didn't get home from hospital on the Friday as planned. He had a C.T scan and we were told quite bluntly that something is going on in Petes stoma...
