Re: Totally in awe of my wonderful Husband!

Hi PW, sorry to hear you are both having a difficult time (understatement !!!!), it is soul destroying when you are trying to do your best and you are treated as if you know nothing. I sometimes wonder if the health professionals realise that PC sufferers and their loved ones quickly gain a lot of m...

Re: Feeling totally lost

Hi Shelda, I am thinking of you in the lost place you are at the moment. I know from experience that everything you do has the ability to bring tears. Simple things like the supermarket shop, the sunshine and the rain, a favourite program on tv. Anything really. You try to keep it in when there are ...

Re: Dealing with Mum's diagnosis...

Hello CLM, I haven't posted on your thread before but I have followed your sad (as they all are) story. Just want you to know that my thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time. The official business is very difficult isn't it? I used the "tell us once" service but still had to deal with...

Re: Totally in awe of my wonderful Husband!

As long as you can be together is what is most important. Coping as best I can, up- ish, down and very down. Its a roller coaster. Glad you managed to get out a little because the outdoors does give you a bit of a boost, especially when the sun is shining. I agree with Catherine as well, having frie...

Re: frustrated

Hi Sheena, I don't post very often now but I want to let you know Im thinking of you. Jenni is right when she says 3 weeks is nothing. Its 12 weeks and 1 day since Stewart died and I feel no different. I have his ashes and it is a little comfort. It was our 6th wedding anniversary last week and I to...

Re: Totally in awe of my wonderful Husband!

Hi PW, I don't post much at the minute but I think about you both often. Our local NHS hospice was fantastic. All single rooms, en suite facilities, patio with furniture, beautiful gardens, pond with ducks - we had everything we could possibly need. The staff were brilliant, from the consultants to ...

Re: Totally in awe of my wonderful Husband!

Don't apologise, it's good to be able to get it off your chest. The onclogist told my husband that steroids cause wasting of the large muscles and Stewart could tell when it was happening, he was always very aware of the changes going on in his body. The muscle wasting caused weakness in his legs an...

Re: Totally in awe of my wonderful Husband!

PW, I am so sorry to hear you and your husband are struggling with this horrendous disease, it's relentless isn't it? It can impact on so many systems of the body and symptoms become mixed up and confusing, and sometimes too many together to manage all at the same time. I'm not surprised you both ha...
