Thank you everyone for your messages. My dad was very withdrawn yesterday, and had actually asked to be moved to a side room for privacy. The nerve block went ahead and bless him he had to lie on his stomach for 4 hours after which was really difficult for him. I spoke to his palliative nurse yester...

We had the most upseting day ever yesterday with thanks to the most blunt and cold Dr, she managed to smash my dads and our world with a few words and she wasn't very diplomatic!. She asked about his end of life and had he thought about it! When we said we didn't want to talk about it in a ward of 4...

Hi Sue. No he is still in hospital awaiting a nerve block tomorrow. I just really hope it works. The Hospice is for after that, although as he isn't as confused now he is more reluctant not to go! We will have to wait and see. X

Thanks Sue. It has being the longest few months for us too. It's all I think about,I don't sleep and when I do nod off its the first thing I think off! It's good to talk to other people that know what we are going through though x

Hi William That's exactly what happened to my dad attempting and feeling unwell. They put another Metal stent inside his other stent as he had a blockage and infection and was generally very unwell. J He also went jaundiced and his urine was very dark and he had a lot of pain near his shoulderblade....

Thank you Dianne that's very comforting to know. He is such a proud man so that's why it's difficult for him to accept any kind of help. I hope when he goes he may have the opportunity to speak to other people like himself too x

After a truly awful week it doesn't get any easier. My dad was admitted to hospital on Thursday with severe abdominal pain. Thank you Sue The consultant mentioned the other day about palliative care nurses coming to help my dad. It's so difficult as he is so stubborn and he doesn't like people turning up,but its a case of he has to. He needs help as definitely confused and disorientated x

My dad has being admitted as he is in a lot of pain until he has a nerve block. Hoping that will work as don't know what other options there are? He has become very confused and can't remember things and am hoping because its the increase in medication, which they are reducing as they say its too mu...

Thinking of you both.My dad got admitted again last night. In so much pain while waiting for a nerve block which probably won't be done till next week. My dad has being extremely confused and forgetting everything also. You definitely have to find an inner strength. Hugs and kisses xx
