Re: Beyond scared
Hi, Pancreatic cancer is difficult to diagnose and find. I went to my GP three times before they sent me to a consultant and then he sent me for colonoscopy and CT scan with contrast. The colonoscopy was all clear but the CT scan with contrast where I had to drink a litre of fluid within the hour be...

Re: My life with pancreatic cancer
Hi Rowlie, Yes you’re one of the lucky ones. Same here as I was diagnosed in April 2014 and had Whipples surgery at (name removed - moderator), London followed by 6 mths of chemo. Do you take a daily PPI like Omeprazole as this is said to help make the Creon more effective and to reduce stomach acid.

Re: Result worries
Hi Mohammad, Everything is hidden deep inside us. Yes I had various tests and a CT scan and they still couldn’t see everything. I had a CT scan with contrast ? I had to drink some liquid before this (5yrs ago) now they inject it during scan. I had a blood test that revealed CEA(cancer but where ?) o...

Re: High Liver Function Tests
Hi, Thanks for your support. Phew- ultrasound scan all clear - no shadows on liver. LFT had dropped yesterday to 246 (normal 30-130) so consultant wants to see me again in 6 weeks and more blood tests but hopefully they may continue to reduce ? I had Whipple's April 2014 followed by 6 months chemo (...

High Liver Function Tests
Hi, I have not posted on here for a while. I hope and wish everyone good luck for the future. I have had some recent blood tests and they found my LFT's to be high-352(normal 30-130). I will be 1 year post Whipple on 26/04/15. I was diagnosed as Secondary Type 1 diabetic a few weeks ago. I am going ...

Re: Creon case
Hi Sandra,
Yes thanks I seem to have come out of the tunnel from Gemcitabine which ended 01/12/14 and I am beginning to feel better. I have not put on any weight yet but I am beginning to resume daily exercise to try and build myself up.
Onwards and upwards !
How are you doing ?

Whipples stomach pain/discomfort
I have started to suffer from relatively minor discomfort/pain after eating. I am sure I read on here some advice about buying some herbal mint substance to ease this ? I will get some in reserve.
I thought it said available from Holland & Barrett.
Does anyone know what this may be ?

Whippleversary
Hi,
Today is my 6 month Whippleversary. 6 months since my Whipples operation on 26/04/14.
I apologise to everyone for copying the American Whipples Warriors Facebook page where they all seem to do this.
In the UK we are more reserved and private ? What the heck.
