Duodenal Stent
Hi all I haven't posted for a long time but just looking for anyone with experience of duodenal stents and how you felt in the few days afterwards? Mum has been off Folfirinox since last summer and has been doing well with stable scans ever since but due to problems with eating, feeling sick, bloati...

Re: First scan results after session 4 of Folfirinox....
Hi all Got scan results this week and after 4 folfirinox treatments both the spots in lungs and main tumour are stable, so relieved! Doc said that although there has been no shrinkage yet she was still pleased and that a scan at the 2 month point was relatively early so all in all we are very happy!...

Re: Griping Stomach Pains for 3 days now....
Thank you everyone for your replies and thank you to Jeni who took the time to email me twice with lots of good info and reassurance that I was doing the right things for Mum! I'm happy to say after a pretty crappy and worrying evening yesterday that she slept fine, woke up feeling and looking much ...

First scan results after session 4 of Folfirinox....
Hi all I just wondered if anyone else had experienced this... Mum had her 4th Folfirinox treatment last Tuesday and to be honest has had a pretty crappy time of it since. The last 3-4 days though she has had a new symptom which is griping stomach pains and aches just below the belly button. When it ...

Dear Cathy
What a beautiful and special service, he was obviously loved by many and from your post it's easy to see why.

Re: Newby - Folfirinox and Clinical Trial
Thanks Cathy, I will ask about the steroids when we next go for treatment. Mum's tumour has already caused diabetes, in fact if it wasn't for the symptoms from that I'm not sure she would have been known about her PC so quickly. I certainly have nothing but good things to say about how quickly and e...

Re: Newby - Folfirinox and Clinical Trial
Thank you Julia and Cathy. I was very saddened to read about the passing of Ray and Jonathan and think you are both amazing for continuing to support others on the forum. I think the one thing we have found is how kind people can be, our community cancer nurse will come to flush Mum's picc line on h...

Re: Newby - Folfirinox and Clinical Trial
I've been following your posts with great interest over the last couple of months as like you say, a lot of your side effects and symptoms seemed quite similar, it's really given me hope to see you doing so well. Have you now had the nanoknife procedure? If so I truly hope it has been a success and ...

Mum's journey on Folfirinox so far...
Hi all. On the 10th November 2013 my amazing, beautiful Mum was diagnosed with PC. After a week of feeling as though she had food poisoning and then 3 more weeks of lethargy, weight loss and quite simply just feeling 'not right' she was finally coerced into seeing the doctor. She then admitted that ...
