Re: How are all your Ladies coping ?

Hi all, I am so sorry to hear since I last posted about my dad that so many of you have lost your loved ones. It so shocking how quickly this cancer takes people and I hope you all have the support you need from your family and friends. My dads funeral went really well, the crematorium was full to b...

Re: Scared for my dad

Thank you so much for your replies. I guess I am kind of looking for reassurance about me not being there when we passed away. And what other people think about it, I hadn't really thought about it until now whether someone did have control over when they actually pass away. But that day I was think...

Re: Scared for my dad

I can't believe I am typing this but my dad past away at 12.50am on Wednesday morning. After spending a day asleep for most of it and not being able to talk when he was awake, I think it was all too much for him and he slipped away about 4 hours before I left him. My last words to him were to get so...

Re: Scared for my dad

Hi again, thank you for your replies. Unfortunately again I do not have any good news but thought I would update on what is happening now. We were told yesterday by the hospital staff that my dad only has days left to live. It's unbelievable how quickly this cancer has took a hold of him. I can't pu...

Re: Scared for my dad

Thanks for your replies, I am finding this very difficult but you are all being very kind. Unfortunately things haven't got any better, in fact a lot worse. My mam had a kind of panic attack on Saturday night and called me saying she was in excruciating pain in her arm, neck, back and legs. I raced ...

Re: Scared for my dad

Sorry for my late reply. Things haven't been good lately and my dad had rapidly deteriated. He's in hospital now getting monitored and they are keeping him in to try and do the biopsy tomorrow. He looks so ill though, he's literally skin and bone now, can't eat anything and they have him drugged upt...

Re: Scared for my dad

Hi Sarah Yes food is a big worry for us also. It seems at the moment all he can eat t is soft food. Anything hard at all he struggles with :( hence me making the soup the other day. Will try giving him picky food but he's so stubborn and will only eat what he wants to. Apparently he's been given sup...

Re: Scared for my dad

Thanks Sarah, that really does help. This forum is brilliant, I have been reading posts for a while and didn't realise how uplifting it is when someone replies and you know your not alone. I totally can understand how you have been dealing with it. Sometimes I wonder how I am supposed to behave, am ...

Re: Scared for my dad

Hi June, thanks for your reply. I'm sorry if I seemed really angry and bitter yesterday! I am not really dealing with this how I thought I would, I thought I would be in floods of tears like when I first found out he had a tumour. I could cry then at the drop of a hat. But since I stopped myself fro...

Re: Scared for my dad

Thanks J.T for your honesty, I hope everything's ok for you in your situation. I can't help but feel very self indulgent when I am on here ranting but I am not going to lie! It helps! I do feel like I'm supposed to put on a big front for everyone and act positive cos that's how most people deal with...

Scared for my dad

Hi I have never posted on anything like this before but hoping that just making my feelings known with others in a similar situation to me might help. I have found out unfortunately that not a lot of people I know, know anything about this type of cancer as I didn't until this nightmare happend to m...
